Einstein once stated “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.” Mindfulness cultivates a different perspective and a new way of thinking. Research is showing that mindfulness increases focus, problem solving, and logical thinking by allowing ourselves to focus on creative work with a clear, non-distracted mind.
Often I find myself reading at a very slow pace. I tend to read each and every word precisely, processing the information slowly and thoroughly. Although when I’m done reading, I sometimes look back and realize that I didn’t even comprehend any of it. That I was lost in thought through the whole process. Do you live with the end(death) in mind, or do you live as if life lasts forever? Believe it or not, life doesn’t last forever, but for some reason many of us seem to live life as if it does. Lucky for you there is a solution, as there is to every other problem. We can change our habits, and the outlook we have on day to day living to accomplish more and live with a happier attitude.
Meditation helps every aspect of life, and the benefits are amazing. There are tons of benefits recently proven by science. So here are a few.
The act of meditating is simply sitting down and being aware of the present moment. It is not getting caught up in the stories of our lives and simply sitting back and watching our thoughts as they pass by. Meditating quiets the mind, but not in the way that you would think. Meditation doesn’t involve sitting and thinking about nothing, but merely watching everything LIVE as it happens.

Sometimes our day to day lives have no purpose, we are just running around accomplishing the things that pop into our mind. Often, we don’t get the things done that we intend to. To solve this problem we need to write down 3 MIT’s for the day. M.I.T’s in this case, stands for: “Most Important Things/Tasks”.
After I finish my meditation session I feel calm and at peace with the world. I then decide to write my next blog post, hoping that I can focus on it for a prolonged amount of time. I start the post off great, the words are flowing off my mind and into the screen. This is the best post I’ve written. It feels like I am giving a speech to my readers. My thoughts are enthusiastic as vocalize what I am typing, the word count is accumulating.
